Hypnosis: Self Knowledge

post time 23. June 2008 member admin

Self knowledge is a philosophical term. It refers to the awareness of your personal desires, dreams, fears, and beliefs. It is never a static knowledge, as we can always grow and change. Developing your sense of self can make your life more fulfilling.

Dissecting Self Knowledge
One of the most important things to remember about self knowledge is that as long as you are being truthful with yourself, it is always accurate. You are the authority on your mental state. No outside figure can shed doubt on what you know to be true about yourself. However, accepting advice and therapeutic assistance can help you realize your truths without dictating your beliefs.

Gaining self knowledge can be achieved in large part through introspection. While talking with friends and participating in therapy might help you perceive yourself more clearly, the information you seek is internal. There is no need to learn from observation of external sources.

Strict behavioral psychologists state that while there is such a thing as self knowledge, it is not special from any other type of knowledge. Behavioral psychologists believe all action is learned by observation. Based on that principle, they define knowledge of the self as simply being constantly present to observe yourself. Even if you subscribe to their theories, you can learn to observe yourself with love and compassion.

Hypnosis: Self-healing

post time 22. June 2008 member admin

The process of self-healing can be a difficult one. At some point in our lives, we have all experienced traumas. Learning how to heal, and allowing yourself to do so, is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.

Rediscovering Joy through Self-Healing
Our lives can easily fall into patterns. Some patterns may be self-destructive, actually working against living a good life. Others may simply be monotonous and lacking joy. We often listen to internal influences like fear and anxiety that hold us back from achieving our full potential. Self-healing can change these patterns, and address the sources of our fears and addictions.

Some life events can be difficult to recover from. Learning you or someone you love have a debilitating or fatal illness is incredibly challenging. It can feel impossible to continue to live a joyful life. Self-healing though hypnotherapy, guided meditation, laugh therapy, or any number of methods can show you how to keep the delight and dignity in your life.

There is a belief that you can self-heal actual physical conditions, as well as mental states. Working with the mind-body connection, it may be possible to improve or triumph over a health problem. Studies have shown that those with fatal illnesses who seek some form of self-healing can lengthen their life expectancy.

Hypnosis: Self-love

post time 21. June 2008 member admin

Self-love is the most important ingredient involved in improving your life. While maintaining a realistic view of your weaknesses and faults, find the strength to love yourself unconditionally. Once you are comfortable and happy with yourself, it will be much simpler to treat others well.

Self-Love Is the Root of All Change
If you are constantly judging and condemning yourself, it will be difficult to change any life patterns. If every failure brings on a mental tirade about how terrible you are, you will soon stop trying to achieve anything new. We all fail, we all make mistakes. Give yourself permission to do so.

In order to effect positive change in your life, and release good energy into the universe, you have to start with yourself. Negative feelings about yourself will reflect on how you participate in the world around you. Feeling badly about your personal choices and actions can cause you to retreat from life. Learning self-love will give you the freedom to take risks, and forgive yourself completely.

Think about how judging yourself makes you feel. Often, we hold ourselves to such strict standards that we are assured at least one mistake. That one misstep can cause a backlash against the whole thought structure. For instance, if you are trying not to eat any sweets, you may give in and eat a chocolate one day. If you are angry at yourself for doing so, you may despair of ever reaching your goal and eat the entire box. If you respond with self-love, you can forgive and move on.

Hypnosis: Stress Management Technique

post time 20. June 2008 member admin

Finding a stress management technique that works for you can improve your daily life. Feeling overwhelmed by stress can prevent you from participating in the events of the day. Uncontrollable feelings of stress can also give rise to anxiety attacks, causing another set of problems.

Choosing a Stress Management Technique
Everyone experiences daily stressors, from driving in traffic to work to trying to get your child to bed in the evening. It often seems like our life is dependent on certain things we must achieve, like completing a project at work or planning a good vacation for our extended family. When stress begins to overwhelm you, even the smallest tasks seem impossible.

There are a wide variety of methods designed to help cope with stress. One stress management technique is self-hypnosis. When practicing self-hypnosis, you learn to direct your mind into a relaxed, easily suggestible state. You can then discover your inner relaxation in response to stress, and carry that into your conscious mind.

Autogenic training is another stress management technique you can try. It has been around for centuries in Europe, and focuses on directing all your awareness toward bodily sensations, like heaviness in the arms and legs. This distracts the mind from its immediate anxious response to stress. It is best to practice both techniques at home, and then apply them in times of need.

Hypnosis: Weight Loss Hypnotherapy

post time 19. June 2008 member admin

Weight loss hypnotherapy is an option to assist you in holding to a healthy diet and exercise regimen. Achieving weight loss is dependent on many mental factors, most of which a diet alone will not address. Regular exercise may help with various emotions, but meditation through movement does not work for everyone at first.

Achieving Goals with Weight Loss Hypnotherapy
The thoughts and emotions tied into body image and weight loss can be intensely ingrained. They are learned from childhood, when family eating patterns affect how we view normal eating habits. Any self-esteem issues that arise in youth also play into gaining and losing weight down the line.

Everything from the way food makes us feel to our knowledge of food groups and healthy eating practices is powerfully cemented in our subconscious. Weight loss hypnotherapy addresses these subconscious patterns and beliefs, changing them at their core. For instance, even though you know eating an apple is healthier than eating a piece of cake, you may not full believe that it will fill you up in the same way. That belief needs to be changed in the subconscious to change your conscious habits.

Practicing weight loss hypnotherapy will also help with stress and anxiety. These emotions are often tied into our body image. As we learn to release judgment and embrace hope in relation to ourselves, the benefits become endless.
